Popular schools for Scandinavians
We’re lined up to move from Norway to Dubai in the summer and have started looking at schools for our 5 & 8 year old girls. There seems to be several good schools to choose from, although we see some are full already. We’re somewhat concerned about the transition from the rather relaxed Norwegian school and kindergarten systems to the more academically focused UK / US / IB schools in Dubai.
Do you know if there are schools that are particularly popular with Scandinavians, hence would have experience with transitioning kids smoothly to a more international learning environment?

You will find that the schools here are very international in nature and the vast majority are well used to settling in children from different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities. Your decision on the curriculum will probably need to take into account how long you plan to be in Dubai for, where you plan to move on to next and what longer term plans you may have. You will also need to consider where you will be living and working and how close to the school you would want to live.
