Victoria International School Rating ?
Unfortunately there is no independent information available for VISS – they do not publish any information about the Inspections. We visited the school during the last academic year and were impressed by the general organisation and air of committed activity. However, their IB student number was very small – this was the first batch of students completing the Diploma, so very early to comment on what they have achieved academically. However, the new Principal – who joined them as Asst. Principal last year – had a strong background with GEMS in Dubai, so this should be a positive signal for the school.
The KHDA only inspects Dubai based schools. Sharjah schools are inspected, but the reports are not made public…
Answer by mumof2: I have children in this school and as relayed by the principal, they were awarded an Outstanding ranking by some external British authority. I am quite certain that until now I have not seen anything on print validating this.
Do note, the final years of 11 and 12 are only IB. The rest of the grades follow the Victorian syllabus (Ausvels). There are also gaps by grade between what is stated on the curriculum and actually followed.
