Admission in KG2 for year 2022-23 considering new age criterias
Hello,
I am moving to Dubai next month and wanted to know about CBSE school admission for my daughter. She is Oct 2017 born and currently studying in LKG (KG1) in India. Will she be eligible to take admission in KG2 in year 2022 for April-22 session as she will be 4.5 years by then ?
The minimum age requirement in KG2 in CBSE schools is 5 years by 31st March. As your daughter will not reach this age until October 2022, she will only be eligible for KG1. Age takes precedence over previous educational experience for all children until Grade 2, so there is no alternative, I’m afraid.
